Description of the flag

The Coalition Sans-parti (Coalition without Party) released on 22 September 2011 a manifesto calling for the set up of a Constituent Assembly commissioned to draft a new Constitution for Québec within two years. The Coalition is a citizen's group managed by a provisory committee chaired by Nicolas Falcimaigne. On 13 October 2011, the Coalition announced that 225 citizens had already signed the manifesto.

On 13 October 2011, the Coalition adopted the white flag as a sign of rallying, emphasizing the aspiration to stop the parties' war and to start from scratch a citizen-based democratic system.
